WOOOOOOO
CONGRATULATIONS TO FENG TIAN WEI, LI JIA WEI & WANG YUE GU.

it is officially broken!!!!
History defining, the first medal ever secured since this small young country gained its independence.
Definately bittersweet victory that has finally brought Singapore her first medal after 43 long years.
woooooo u guys  girls, woman...make Singapore Proud! =)=)=)

and i couldn't find a nice pic of Feng Tian Wei, so there.

so i was watching the table tennis semi finals, Korea VS Singapore, dried mixed berries and peanuts in hand.
feeling the pressure as every swipe, reverse handaction and kill could make or break that one chance.
i wasn reallie on any side at first, till my mum told me how crucial this match is to singapore.

and i truly admire them.
i mean a small table, a small light pingpong ball, bats, and two people against each other?
wasnt really a fan of this sport, cuz its so restrictive.
but then as they playyyyyyyeddd, as the ball flew further and further away from the table yet still somehow or another made its way back to the opponent, the courage and passion fired up and woooo!
Did you just see that save???!!!! or that smashing kill!!!
~Truly stunning as fast reflexes and so much focus is demonstrated.
yayyyyyyyyyy i think feng tian wei was the underdog of this competition and she'll get more limelight.
marked as the 'weakest' in the Singapore Team by the Koreans, her determination shone through, as she beat the koreans in 2 singles match, while Jia Wei lost her single match against Kim Kyung Ah by a small margin.
hurhur. Do not underestimate your opponents. lol
but i still love Korea =)
so, all's fair n square, may singapore trudge on to beat HK or China in the finals.
and a quote of from the presenter: "Dare we dream? Yes we do."
it'll be an exciting showdown.

A different kind of NDP

would you remember that daddy once took you to see the fireworks?

Although the display was short
but squeezing with the massive crowd from raffles city all the way to the flyer was reallie my first.
felt so war-like as fighter planes zoom overhead in thunderous volume, soldiers and police officers standing guard at every alternative road-block.
chasing planes~ hahaa

i caught this! =D Looks like a dompaliek fan
nice being in the area,  near 'where it's all happening'.

yay! its' different this year too bcuz there's  andra n mossie!
and thats us wearing tomato color and being sweaty =]
made 2 new but old frens from different ethnicities haha and learnt that fencers are liars. ;p
dumber-than-dumb games are fun!
yea second post for Olympics!

im so gonna watch the encore telecast for the opening ceremony, properly.

$400 Million.
and MM Lee was in the crowd
he looked small sitting amongst 91000 other people from all over the world sitting on similar seats.
lol a pity, having to rush back to celebrate his nation's birthday.
but he probably has his own personal jet anyways.
hahaa

The World of Singapore will be in the lime light tomorro~
and im not going to take for granted one thing,

walking home just now, there was this man in front me
He was talking gibberish to his handphone. and i wasn't trying to eavesdrop
but it was some language i've never heard in my life.
it sounded like a cross between korean and japanese.
but he looks chinese. i kept thinking whether he was:
1) Talking chinese so well and so fast, with the tongue rolling and all
2) Mad because he went on for quite some time
3) Really from some other country
and then the man in front of him fished out his handphone too and his skin was of a darker tone.
yep, he spoke tamil.
ahahah
it may sound repetitively cliche and all but
its the peaceful multi-racial society we live in.
there may be racist jokes ever so often, but deep down they're just harmless jokes.

=D

Team Singapore swimmers doing puzzles to past time before competition day 0.0
bryan tay against michael phelps worth watching!
This month would definately be exciting to those working in the real media world.

sitting at macs doing editing now and the flat screened TV tucked in a corner is blasting with the live telecast of the opening of BeiJing Olympics 2008.

08.08.08 at 8.08pm.
a day to be remembered by the chinese
and i feel a sudden sense of proudness to be a chinese! Hua Ren
not a china chinese
but probably somewhere in my bloodline
im not ashamed to say
im a Chinese! lol

So many ppl involved.
pairs of eyes all over the world glued to their TV sets
okiee im starting to sound __
haahaha woo malaysia's walking in with their flag
Where's singaporeE???E
Okei, im just wondering how cool it'll be to be personally there.
The crowd
the fireworks
the whole atmosphere!
the boundary-less feeling with sports as focus
maybe one day, maybe a certain 4 years..
lol

so exciting !
although 8 is supposedly a lucky number for the chinese
but an unfortunate thing happened due to my carelessness again.
=(

ah wells.
